Port Blandford: 50 and Counting

Port Blandford turned 50 in 2021, and to celebrate, we launched Port Blandford: 50 and Counting, to gather community memories of the last 50 years. A Facebook page was launched (@PortBlandford50) to share community memories; volunteers reviewed Council minutes; and, participants of the 2021 AppleFest! were encouraged to write their memories and hopes for Port Blandford on posted timeline boards at the festival. Below this text is a timeline of Port Blandford’s last 50 years, including community events and lists of the people who have served as Trustees, Mayors, Councillors, and Fire Chiefs. There is so much more information to be gathered and shared, but this timeline is a starting point to capture important aspects of Port Blandford’s history.
